Presenter Information

Duane Trahan, MS, CCC-SLP, is a member of the ASHA Health Care Economics Committee and is the lead speech pathologist in the DOHNS at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is a co-founder and director of Facial Nerve Rehabilitation of the UAB Facial Nerve Multidisciplinary Clinic. He has served in an administrative capacity in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities, in-patient rehabilitation and acute care, and outpatient settings. He is heavily engaged in multidisciplinary education and training for dysphagia and communication-related issues related to head and neck surgery. Clinically, his areas of focus are oropharyngeal and esophageal dysphagia, head and neck cancer and functional outcomes, and facial nerve deficits and impact on communication.

Wendy LeBorgne, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a sought-after voice pathologist, international speaker, best-selling author, and master-class clinician regarding vocal wellness and vocal athletes. Dr. LeBorgne actively presents on the professional voice and vocal wellness. She is an associate professor at Mount St. Joseph University, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in their speech pathology program. She also serves on ASHA's Health Care Economics Committee.
